One of the most whispered movie according to Lord Varys for this month is The  Maze Runner. The Maze Runner is another movie adaptation based on the best-selling novel of the same title by James Dashner. It is another film perfect for the people who are into mystery-thriller genre.

Like most of the YA adaptations, The Maze Runner kicks off mysteriously: Thomas waking up inside a community without remembering anything even his name. He is surrounded by similarly lost boys whose memories are also gone. He later finds out that they are being surrounded by giant walls and beyond the walls is a huge maze which terrifies Thomas and the other boys in the camp. The leader Alby tells him that most of the young men have been there for years already and further explains that they’ve made a certain civilization inside the Glade (name of the community) to sustain their lives.

In the later part of the movie, Thomas finds out that there are actually people who navigate the maze hoping to find a way out. But, only the skilled and strong members are allowed to go outside the camp and navigate the maze. It makes Thomas to want to explore even at the cost of potentially losing all of their lives. Thomas then realizes that beyond the leaden maze is freedom for every person inside the Glade.

All of which brings us to the ending. Although fans of the novel had that coming but the movie-watchers were so damn dismayed by what the filmmakers did. They left them hanging! The flow movie was really good until they showed that part of the movie.

But, you can still see that what’s intriguing about the movie is the way it makes movie-goers feel like they’ve heard the story a dozen of times already but  ends up saying ‘I haven’t heard this kind of story’ at the end of the day. In totality, The Maze Runner is a must-watch film recommended for everybody!
